Last Out is a play written by and starring former Green Beret Scott Mann – it is perhaps the most 360-degree view of war and its after-effects that has ever been put on stage. But it has now been filmed and will be released on Amazon Prime, so to celebrate, the Savage Wonder Festival is proud to present this incredibly special screening with the cast in attendance and a Q&A to follow. Co-starring Len Bruce (retired US Special Forces Master Sergeant), Bryan Bachman (former 82nd Airborne Infantryman), and Ame Livingston (Equity actor and military family member), Last Out is the story of a Green Beret fighting battles that range from tribal Afghanistan to his own living room. You’ve heard the war stories of the “first in.” This is the untold true story of the Last Out.

Nicholas Efstathiou, author of many supernatural horror tales, told us- “Everything creeps me out. Everything, when I think about it long enough, is terrifying. Everything carries the ghosts of the past.”

One of the exciting parts of this upcoming WonderGround performance, comes after the show is over. One of our artists, Ayman Kafel, is launching his book "The Resolute Path", and we are extremely proud to host the release party immediately following the performance. Ayman shared with us how he finds inspiration for his writing.
"I write a lot. Whether it`s poetry or articles, I would write. I was asked once how does my Poetry come to me. There are times when I may think of something, and I`ll just start writing for a few days. They are at first bullet points, then when I feel I have written down what I wanted. I`ll turn it into poetry. Sometimes, I can write a poem in a few minutes. The words just come to me very quickly, and I know exactly what it is that I want to write about. When I do visual presentations of my poetry. Again, sometimes it takes me a few days and sometimes I know exactly what I`m looking for a put it all together in a few minutes."

" I can`t say it`s a favorite of mine, but The Ring series was prominent while I was coming of age, so I found some inspiration from that movie. It showcased a supernatural element that also incorporated technology and family as the plot became more unraveled. Unfortunately, it also pushed the "jump-scare" trope into mainstream media. This is a cheap way to scare people if you ask me. I like the slow burn of psychological thrillers that make you question what you`re actually viewing."
